URBE NUPI

We are an NGO, non-profit legal person treated as public utilities by Law No. 35/98 of 18 July that defines the status of non-governmental environment. We are also a National Association of Youth.

We work to improve the urban environment in our cities and towns and in protecting the heritage.Lately we are working increasingly also in the great problems in the area for planning, planning and administration.

We are based in Lisbon and integrate specific groups of members scattered around the country, which are the cores of Urban Research and Intervention. The Urbe has more than 4,000 individual members and counts among its members with various institutional authorities, public institutes and private companies in the areas of planning and construction.

We are committed to creating editorial activities, training and discussion, study and in bringing solutions that fall within our subject associations.

We are also a training institute.

The Urbe is affiliated to the European Association Europa Nostra - Pan-European Federation for Heritage, and is an associate member of EFTC - European Federation of Town Centers.
